I think the point of the post is that he's hoping QL changes things.  It seems that he's not the only one hoping things change either, considering the new Battlefield is running along the same lines.  

 

 Yeah, I understood. He thinks QL will be the pioneer game for not just a new business model, but for a future with more advanced games being able to run in a browser.

But I believe he is wrong. Maybe it's because I hope he will be wrong, since I don't like browser games nor business models based on advertising.
