But if July was any indication for August numbers, NPD is very close to Vgc for DS (probably adds 35k), Wii (adds maybe 30k), PS2 (20k), 360 (15k). PSP and PS3 were more off, but still within 20% I think if NPD Canada was 10k. |
As much as I like what this site is doing, I am beginning to suspect that you are unable to actually track sales of some/most of the console brands (particularly PS3/PSP) from your sources. Given that you have PS3 sales of over/near 50k in September, I can imagine how the september NPD comparison will turn out to be...
The question remains whether NPD reports only those numbers they track without rounding up to 100% (No Amazon for example, which gave the PS3 an August push).
