For the average gamer there is a difference in what you play and what you control. It's a low psychology thing. Players tend to prefer to play people or people like. Players like to control things. Players don't few bugs and people. Players few bugs as things. It's mental association.
It's sorta like Eve Online. It would do better if you played a person, but the game emphasises that you are a ship.
Squilliam: On Vgcharts its a commonly accepted practice to twist the bounds of plausibility in order to support your argument or agenda so I think its pretty cool that this gives me the precedent to say whatever I damn well please.
