Its a real hard game to market. Casuals won't touch it, kids (and others) will actually be scared of the main characters...
And the Wii is not a hard-core console as it is - it would have to be *exceptional* to get the hardcorers to pay attention to it.
To be honest, I'm not sure how it ever got green-lighted in the first place. Being "original" is not enough to spend money on dev.
