Undoubtedly the hardware sales will go up, but I doubt they'll go up by much. I think the rumours of a price drop is actually having a negative affect on sales because it's causing more people to wait. Also many people who are still waiting to get a Ps3 are waiting for when the nextgen version of their favorite franchise comes out. God of War III being an example. And even more so; Gran Turismo. Don't underestimate the large hardcore driving simulator fanbase there is out there. Looks how well prolgue (a demo and a half) did.
