I will be buying the game on day one. I am spreading word of this game to my friends that have the Wii. One of them seems to be conviced that everything on the Wii is crap so he probably won't buy it until I have it for two weeks and won't quit raving about it. The only thing that seems good to him anymore are FPS games on the 360. He won't admit that any SINGLE game on the Wii is good. Now, I do not have a 360 and have NO desire to get one (unless Killer Instinct 3 comes out) but at least I can say that, yes, there are some awesome games on the 360. I just don't have the system and they don't get me interested.
I hope Madworld gets to one million worldwide in way less than half a year. I am a bit confused on the comment about not buying it because it is 480i instead of 480p. I'm sure it makes some difference but the game still looks as good as it does and will play the same regardless. I am sometimes still surprised that graphics are SO important. Why is Tetris such a good game when the graphics are essentially lame? Why is Quake III the greatest FPS ever and the people that are REALLY into it turn all of the graphics down to their lowest settings? The gameplay is what makes a game great, not the graphics. Graphics make it look good, but if the game sucks hardcore then no level of graphics can save that.
For all of the people that want quality "mature/hardcore" titles on the Wii should at least check this game out. To not buy this game, if not the first week then in the second week, is ludicrous. Unless after week one everyone who has it has nothing but bad to say about it then I could understand not buying it.
I'm personally hoping this game has some good fast paced action and is a tough game to beat. Maybe it has five difficulty levels or something and the top of which makes the game absolutely insane. I want the game play to be fun and addictive so that you don't get bored with it and so it gives awesome replay value. I also hope that the controls work great and don't feel goofy.
