It's not like the Wii was ever short on control pads, but hey, if Nintendo feel we need another one - in this case the Classic Controller Pro - then we're not going to argue.
With information only currently residing on Nintendo's Japanese website, there's no word yet on price, or a firm release date (just that it's coming this year). The Classic Controller Pro differs from the original Classic Controller by adding some extra shoulder buttons, spacing the thumbsticks out a bit more and introducing some hand grips.
Should make playing those GameCube and N64 games a damn sight easier.

So they made a crappy version of the dual shock
Funny how so many people can say they dont like the PS2/3 controller only to say the design is great when nintendo makes it wired.
|
To be honest, I've never heard of people (or atleast not many) complaining about the PS2/3 controllers. :/

Thats because Sony have not changed it at all over the 3 systems. Ofcourse they stole the analogue stick to begin with from Nintendo, but thats irrelivent
On topic, its good, anything to make the traditional controller more comfortable is a good idea. Not that it matters to many since we use the wiimote

They havent changed it much because they got it right the first time. It has had subtle changes year after year, but overall it is the best controller. I hope they never change it.

Wiimote + Nunchuck: New and exciting
360 controller: The 'classic' style controller perfected
Dualshock: Old, tired, and boring
I wish so many fans hadn't bitched about the 'boomerang' design; looked comfortable as hell to me. The Dualshock is by far the most uncomfortable controller.
This new Classic controller looks good. Nothing new; just the original classic controller (which was indeed classic in its design) steered a little more towards 3D/analog controlled games.
