I say a good result, but not the best
Hardware, i was expecting 30k, IU even did more, but hey, its still good, what matters more is the long run effect, can it stay above 10k for the next month or so? Hopefully MS restock plenty of Arcades, its cheap and that will help a lot given how the Japanese are suffering right now, and it could be the reason for more ordinary gamers to go out and get a 360, so yeah im thinking the hardware will do well for a while
Software, yeah great, but it sold out! Who knows, will this dampen demand, or get people boosted up for next week? One thing we know is that it sold beyond expectations. Next week will be key, if it sells 20k units, itll hit 200k, but if it does say up to 40k units, then it has a chance at 250k
TBH, i think itll max out at 200k, or 210k. Still well done
Now a alert for the fanboys, STOP WHINING. Lets get something straight, MS paid for the developement of the engine, due to their deal for IU, hence didnt cost tri-Ace as much as it wouldve had they made the game for the PS3. In fact had they made the game for the PS3, they wouldnt have got the same funding for marketing, but also, you can expect the game to have come out months later too.
Then factor in the fact that North America, the 360 is ahead of the PS3 quite a lot, and to them, thats the most important region.
