The bowser fights wer just as hard as in SM64, I played them close to each other for the first time, (SM64 first time I played was less than 2 years ago) I think perhaps many of you are remembering SM64 to be harder because you were younger and not as good at games.
I agree with Okey though, the boss recycling was a bit of a let down... but then there were still a lot of different bosses to make up for it.
