I can understand that the story doesn't mean much in Mario games, and expecting an amazingly complex and deep story from a Mario game is the wrong idea to go in with, but is it the same with boss battles? Are the battles with Bowser not that important to the game, is that what the developers are saying? That can't be true though, because the battles are obviously important. What then, am I missing from all of this? Hell SMS had some awesome and unique boss battles, none of them close to being the same. Of course you do only fight Bowser once in the entire game.. |
Well, at least the other bosses were all different.
Bowser was still tough, for the length of time it took to figure out how to beat him. But yes... the Super Mario 64 version was better. Just the differences given by his health and the way the arena behaved made it better.
