Right, but in a few FPS games, including the Conduit, you can change the deadzone box for turning the screen (or whatever it's called). You can make it so that even the slightest movement with the remote will turn the screen, and you can also customize how fast the screen turns in the Conduit, I believe. |
To the human eye, yes it can.... The problem devs have not overcome (or not tried to by using custom controls for some reason) is that when you let go of a mouse, it stays still.... the concept of having a single pixel "dead zone" would make the Wii FPS exactly like a PC FPS (where moving the mouse actually moves the screen, rather than the screen reacting at different speeds depending on how far you point.... or even worse IMO, having a dead zone in which nothing happens, then suddenly a quick turning speed once you aim out of the zone) The difference is that you cannot relax the Wii remote unless paused... because the screen could start spinning wildly if the IR sensor bar was still visible to the remote.
There are other ways of working around this problem, but the best solution is to include as many options as possible like The Conduit is doing... to be honest full control customisation should be in all Dual analogue FPSs.... and even more so for the Wii, but for some reason most just have limited or no custom options.
