Games usually release on Tuesday in the US. Killzone 2 for some reason is releasing on a Friday. So it is losing 3 days worth of sales.

Just another example of Sony screwing over NA on game releases. 

Since Killzone 2 is very much a product or Europe, I think that Sony is delaying the NA release.
