I hope this is true, I skipped the 3000, but I would certainly be interested in this concept
As for the removal of UMD, I really hope not. What I would not mind, is having disc based games, that you can burn to the BUILT IN FLASH MEMORY so that I have physical copies of the game, but the convenience of not having to change discs, and of course that would mean you don't have to do anything about your existing games
