It's likely that WM+ won't change the existing games, but in a way it actually could, depending on who does the processing on the IR data. If it's the Wii's OS as opposed to the game/SDK, it's possible they could update the pointing to use data from WM+...
If WM+ is precise enough maybe they could even eliminate the need for a sensor bar. They may do this for future games at least (at least the improving pointing precision part).
PS: Yes, I realize this is all speculation on my part, and not exactly likely to happen.
