Is Wii Number 1 for good?

1. You can't compair a handheld console to one that is stationary.

2. A lot of people do think the Wii is a fad (of course, not on this site).  Almost everyone that I know (in real life) that has one, is not a console/pc gamer.  They're parents or 10 year olds.

3. The only time I've ever enjoyed the Wii was while drunk.  When sober, it bores me to tears.  Why is that?

4.  Why would I want to play Wii golf in my living room when I can play real golf with my friends in the warm sun?  Why would I want to play Wii bowling in my living room when I could play real bowling with my girlfriend at the bowling alley? etc, you get the idea...

5. HDTVs are becoming cheaper and cheaper.  As more get sold people will want to buy a console capable of HD gaming.  Blu Ray and HDDVDs are selling more and more, people will want to watch HD movies which the Wii also can't do.

Right now the Wii is the "it" thing among non gamers.  It's the hip thing for older adults to get so they can play someting other then scategories or win, lose, or draw when they get together with their drunk friends.

1. is pretty much true, it should be compared to Psp, which was supposed to outsell Ds/l,

4. like already pointed out it's cheaper and more effortless, but you can still do both, right ?, 

5. would also like to see how buying hdtv/hd-ready tv, automatically means you won't buy Wii/Ps2, i bought 32" Samsung Hd-Ready tv last X-mas and i already had Wii at that point and later bought Ps2, and i see no point buying Hd/Br-Dvd movies before players will become cheaper and/or it is decided which one wins format war, or when dual-format players are readily available.

 

And for the end ranting, why would you always need to be drunk to enjoy something ?
