I can see your point. It's just that you're not describing it right.
Since actually less than 20% of games for the X360 are any kind of shooters (FPS, TPS, tactical) people will object to your proposition and tell you how many RPGs, action games, sports games, strategy games and racing games there are.
But yes, these games still feel similar somehow, they do have something in common. You could call it "hardcore games", "HD games" or "western games", I'm not sure.
And what's missing for the X360 are the games opposite from these:
The arcade games, classic games, Japanese games, platformers, casual games, kids games, family games.
That's the big missing gap on the X360 (and you haven't got many of these for the PS3 either). Xbox Live Arcade has these type of games, and that's all great, but they're not as ambitious and big budget as retail games would be.
