How to understand that? =)

http://www.usatoday.com/tech/gaming/2007-09-12-microsoft-rpgs-japan_N.htm

Ugh, so many questions.

(1) Why is USA Today quoting last quarter's sales numbers just days before this quarter ends?

(2) Why are they quoting 360 shipped numbers and Nintendo sold numbers?

(3) Why is there so little information in that article.

USA today is a horrible rag, and everyone knows this. But how can they make so little effort to get any real information out?

 1) because those are the only cold, hard, non-estimated numbers provided by the companies themselves.  and it's gonna be like another two months before companies release earnings.

2) again, whatever provided by the companies themselves.

3) for someone not following video games, there's plenty of information.  and "real information" is basically what companies provide.

and yeah, USA today is horrible.

the Wii is an epidemic.
