The thing is, since games are easy to delete if they are found to be non-existant, there's no problem if the game turns out to be on different platforms, or not released at all. For example, I asked oliist once if I could create entries for the Beatles game for PS2/PS3/Wii/360 and he gave me a thumbs up, even though nor platforms nor final name were confirmed. If the name ends up being different, or some platforms don't see a release, the game will just be deleted/edited.
In the end, the DB does not hold the ultimate truth, the games are there to be edited when new info comes in
