It *could* be very good, but that's a big *could*.

Microsoft would have to adopt as a global, or near-global solution like Nintendo did with the Wii/Wiimote to have it work properly, and become a good solution for mainstream gamers.

One one end, it's a very good idea. It could simplify the idea of a controller even further than the Wii did, and allow gamers to go either controller-less, or have a much more simple controller than even the Wiimote - maybe a keychain to bring up a pause menu and a joystick to move the POV around.

I'd be very interested in it if Microsoft got it to where you could play an Oblivion-type WRPG without a controller, and merely need to mimic a sword for swordfights, and the like. Otherwise...It wouldn't be that cool for me.
