Lol, dude...why would you start on Easy mode? That's for teh casualz. Normal difficulty isn't that much more different than easy. I'd say never play the lowest difficulty unless you aren't good at games or you're new to games or the game is inherently difficult (DC is not).

I'm doing Deadly as well and I died quite a few times on the second chapter. The Wolf spiders are much tougher now and can actually kill me if I don't act quickly. Even the soldier beetles can kick my bug butt...I never thought they were a serious threat.
