This echoes stuff I've read about in articles. It takes a lot to scare me, but I've got to say this.. Hospitals freak me out.

Maybe I'm biased. Like vlad, I've had a 'new' nurse poke my arm with a needle, miss my vein, go at it AGAIN and painfully draw my blood which took way too long. The bruise I had the next day was UGLY.

The vein in my left arm is super easy to see too, I mean a two year old could stick it. I'm a track runner, not overweight or anything..

Anyway, that jaded me. Some doctors and nurses are just plain cold, which makes me wonder why they got into the medical field. Money? Prestige?

EDIT: I'm in Washington State as well.

I know.  I expected to see some things in my career, but not all that in 4 weeks of clinical.
