Smash fans: Which is better Brawl or Melee? Please state Why?

Brawl, characters seem more balanced. None of the characters in Brawl seem cheap or lousy.

I like the single player challenges in Melee better though. Sub Space in Brawl just wasn't my thing, felt really unorganized.
