I love the Gamecube, but almost everything went wrong. It was everyone's fault.

- I remember when Sony announced the PS2 would do 66million polygons per second, and Nintendo said 12 millions for the Gamecube. History proved that PS2 numbers were impossible on a real gaming context (it was what the console could show without textures or shapes or special effects, and GC numbers were based on hardware power with all the textures and special effects and etc, simutaneously.

- Nintendo was very picky about third party games, refusing best sellers such as GTA.

- Let's face it. If the Wii was released as a purple console with a purple remote with green, red, purple and yellow buttons, would it sell as it is or would it be seen as a kiddie's videogame?

I think that these factors help to explain.

Awesome trailer for the new Ganbare Goemon game, to be released in March, 2009 for... Well, it's a Pachinko machine with a display. Oh, God.

*NEW SUPER MARIO BROS WII*:  Now it's gonna happen!!! Thank you so much Nintendo.
