I love the idea, as long as we buy a full game to begin with. Downloading new songs in Guitar Hero, extra maps for Halo 3 and Call of Duty, etc.--those are all great ideas. Same with something like The Lost and Damned, Shivering Isles, and Bring Down the Sky. With GTA IV, Oblivion, and Mass Effect, respectively, we got full, lengthy, feature-packed games when we bought the disc. Extending the value is a great idea, as long as we aren't forced to pay extra for the full experience.

What Namco does--charging you to level up your character or something like that stinks.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
