That many hundreds of characters moving independently in fairly large environments takes a lot of processing power, and the Wii is much weaker in that department than the HD consoles. No, I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say that Dead Rising (360 version) may well be the only HD game that can't be replicated on the Wii. |
The crazy thing is according to this Chris Kramer guy in the video I've posted below, technically this isn't a port. The game had to be rebuilt on the Wii using the RE4 engine. (Around 1:10)
When people here were talking about wanting RE5 on the Wii, twesterm kept saying it was impossible to port to the Wii, and that the game would have to be rebuilt on the Wii to work.
What I want to know is why Capcom went through the trouble of remaking Dead Rising on the Wii using the RE4 engine when they could have just done RE5. Only thing I can think of is they want something out there to keep Dead Rising's brand name in the air while they make Dead Rising 2.
