Never saw degradation, but 2 and 4 are my favorites in the series, and I have too many nostalgiac memories of that green/tan block that was "Chris Redfield" for me to ever hate him.

I don't really give two damns about the story, since it is easily the worst thing about the series.

I'd rather it be an original Resident Evil game, and I'd rather it be built for maximum enjoyment given the way the Wii works, as RE4 was for the Gamecube.

Don't care about anything else.
