How much is Sony costing this industry? (Developers and Video sotres alike)

all Sony did was jump on the bandwagon after the most even handed generation ever with a questionable business practice, the loss leading strategy, sony introduced the idea. man how things could have been different if atari had gotten an injunction to prevent the sales of the ps1 at a loss as it is a very monopolistic tactic, (Sam Tremeil actually said he was going to but given Jack Temeil's policy on atari's purse strings I'm sure he stopped it, wouldn't have benefitted atari anyway) 

I know everybody that is old enough to remember 1995 ripped this statement apart but it is easily the most idiotic statement I've ever heard
