He has worked on XII enough, and then Hiroyuki Ito, the director of FFVI and IX, has done a great job finishing the game.
I am not going to start yet another "FFXII - yay or nay?!" discussion here though, it has been done to death already. For me it's an absolutely amazing game and the best game in the series. That's why even though I dont own the Wii I am kind of interested to see what Matsuno does next.
