The year so far..... how long can Sony stand this?

How long the run will be is up to the customers. Sony can say the 10 year plan every day, it won't work out. The Ps3 will be dead long before. The sales are just to bad. in 3 years, there will be a new generation of consoles. Why should a 3rd party developer support an old console? The only console that will be supported for a very long time is the wii, just because it is winning.

because the ps3 is still so expensive it will sell for a very long time and it hasnt even come anywhere near its peak yet. the 360 is already losing its steam and its the cheapest console out there.

You should check the sales, The Xbox360 is on a very good way to increase the yearly sales again. 4 times in a row. 2009>2008>2007>2006>2005 The PS3 is the console losing YoY.

soon it will be cheaper than the ps2.

The PS2 will be dead before

 

 I am not saying the PS3 is doomed, but don't spin this like the Xbox360 would be in serious trouble.
