There were talks about this a while ago, of GG had actually been trying to make an engine that was versitile and made production of games on PS3 easier. I can't find the articles now and dont care to look for them but, you are welcomed to look.

I also heard talk of it from a gaming industry friend of mine(this one means nothing to you because you dont know him so you might not believe me).
