Right now, neither. They don't need it. They have proved that you don't need HD nor a DVD playback to succeed but a good interface and fun games.
In the future, nobody knows. Obviously, HD because by then most TV's will be HD but the rest I dunno.
And I don't care. There are lots of wii games I want to play and many to come and I don't want to think in something hasn't even announced yet.
