The chances of the ps3 outselling the 360 are growing slimmer each week, the 360 leads by 8 million and counting. I like to think about that lead as a buffer that allows microsoft the time to respond. They are a patient company, everyone had written them off last year and they still ended up outselling the ps3.
Will the ps3 start selling more then the 360 each week at some point? Certainly. But microsoft will literally have YEARS to mount an effective response and this gen has shown that microsoft can and will respond aggressively when the time is right.
