I was watching the NBA allstar weekend stuff and Sony had decided to sponsor the skills challenge with the Playstation brand making it the playstation skills challenge and Jack trenton gave out the trophy at the end. All the while during the commercials Microsoft had ads showcasing the very popular GTA IV DLC coming out february 18th I think it was. Why the fuck would Sony shell out the money to sponsor the skills challenge and not showcase any game or anything but showcase some fat executive looking dumb standing next to an NBA player?

Maybe there was PS3 commercials that I missed or something but it doesn't make any sense to showcase the playstation brand without any games or features or anything. Everyone knows the brand name already. Awareness of the brand probably cant get any higher yet thats all they promote. The PS3 is not a impulse buy, they don't have to remind people that there is a playstation brand out there. Sometimes I really think their marketing team is a bunch of retards. Almost as bad as the Big three auto companies.
