Because $35 is less than retail price, it would be smarter for you to keep the game. And besides, Super Paper Mario is a good game, and because it is a Mario game, its value will only increase in the future. Paper Mario for the Nintendo 64 is worth around $100, mint in the box, now. Keep it. Do not sell it. Just work for more money, to buy more games, so you can build up a collection.

Not everybody is rich like you or wants to build collections. Some of us actually play the games, enjoy them, and then play more games.

It's good to keep games so you can play them later, but there's no shame in getting $35 for a trade-in...that's actually a very good deal. You can't get full retail for a used game anywhere, so I don't know why you even bring that up. And it's obviously not "mint in box" because he played it....so it won't be worth $100 til 2050 or something...

1. I am not rich.

2. I play games, and collect them.

3. $35 is good compared to other amounts, but it's still less than retail, which means a loss would still be taken, assuming it was purchased at retail price. Therefore, it is smarter to keep the game, than to lose some money, by trading it in.

4. You can't get retail for a used game, which is why you keep it. That is why I brought it up.

5. "Mint" and "new" are two different things. If they were the same thing, we would not have two words for them. I have many games that I have played, and remain in mint condition. And in 2050, chances are, Super Paper Mario, if in mint condition, and if scarce, should be expected to be worth around $100 Canadian dollars. Super Mario RPG, mint in the box, for the Super Nintendo, is worth around $100, and it's only around 10 years old. Paper Mario, which is even newer, is worth a lot of money, if found, mint in the box. You can have used, mint games. Yes, they exist.

6. You always, always, always have to reply with some kind of negative attitude to my posts, and I am not appreciating it.

I am also a collector, but point 3 makes no sense to the average gamer.  If you are not building a collection, and it has no replay value to you, $35 trade-in is $35 more than $0 which is what you make by not selling it.

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.
