360 Controller question

are the madcatz controllers the only ones with a different d pad design? also how reliable is the mad catz controller? i ask because i haven't had good experiences with madcatz controllers in the past

 

in my experience very unreliable they feel really cheap and there was alway something wrong with my PS mine was a ps3 control but im sure the 360 controls are just as bad
