*cough* FFVII *cough*

FF VII's seemed too...simple. FF VIII had a different feeling. Plus the angles in battle were way better and cooler. It definitely did have the best. I wish SE would reuse FF VIII's battle system, but take out the draw system and replace it with MP.

Simple? dunno about that. The Materia combinations you could pull were extremely powerful and exciting... I loved it.
I somewhat liked FF VIII's draw system, but I the only time I used any magic from my stock was during fighting Omega and Ultimecia (you know.. triple, meltdown, aura, here we go!)... it was a true pain to use in any other time. It's a mjaor flaw of FF VIII. Otherwise, the system was good.
Ah, and I agree on the angles.

I agree with Soriku. FFVII's battle system is simple. Even the materia was simple, but it's still alright.
May I add that FFVIII has the best soundtrack and FMVs, imo.
@soriku, don't play FFX-2. It's pure sh1t.

Even though you didn't like it, you have to admit that the battle system was very good.
