I agree with your frustrations. In terms of overall review score, it is probably best to look at the aggregate not individual score. I will only read a handful of reviews from sites that I trust. I pay particular attention to the actual reviewer. It would be nice if each reviewer had a listing of games and their previous review scores so I could get a better sense of their point of view.
