Not to be confused with a complaint list, these are simply a few wiiware changes or updates that I'd like to see. I doubt that most of them will happen but it's really just an excuse to type my thoughts.
1. price cuts: When a standard retail game runs it's course and sales have dropped off, it's common place for the publisher to cut the price. It would be nice to see the same for wiiware titles. Even though wiiware just launched this past may, I'm sure there are at least a couple games that are seeing scattered sales at best. A 'reduced price' wiiware sub catalog would be a nice way to allow old games extra exposure and maybe a second wave of sales (applying the same idea to the virtual console would not be opposed).
2. Trading in games: I know that selling nintendo back a digital file is not the same as selling gamestop a physical disk, but some sort of trade in/credit system would be nice. Sometimes (like with standard retail purchases), you find yourself disappointed with you selection. Some games are poor in terms of quality and others are simply not worth holding on to. I wouldn't expect a full refund, but a small percentage would be nice (again, applying the same idea to the virtual console would not be opposed).
3. Arcade ports: This is up to developers but I would love to see a few old school ports. Games like midway's 'grid' or konami's 'x-men' arcade. I sure there is an audience for straight ports of some of these titles (especially with gimped versions of great arcade titles available on the virtual console).
4. A release schedule: I don't get why I know what games are going to be released over the entire month of February in japan but not america. It's an odd choice by Nintendo that will hopefully be turned around in the near future.
Any comments or additions of your own are welcome.
