Okay so i've played the game for a couple of hours, and i like it so far.
Combat - The combat is much better than i expected, especially when playing with the scorpion. It's pretty simple... A is used for basic attacks and right after pressing A doing a gesture will do a heavy attack (when playing with the spider it's either an uppercut or some kind of slap lol, while with the scorpion is a poisonous hit with it's tail). The scorpion can also do combo moves by pressing A multiple times. Overall the combat is fun, as you aquire more skills by gathering points. These points are gathered by killing enemies or completing quests. Also, with the scorpion when the enemy is low on life you can press the C button to start a killing move, with Quick-time events.
Graphics - They're stunning. The complexity of the enviroments is seriously mind-blowing. The character models are top-notch, especially the spider's (you can actually see each seperate hair if the camera is close to you). The best thing about the graphics has to be the animation. It's really realistic, to the point of being creepy, especially when you slowly move with the spider. There are some framerate hiccups here and there, but nothing major.
Music - The music is amazing. It's pretty subtle, but it really sets a creepy atmosphere. The sound effects during battles (hearing the enemies or you character screaming) are damn good too. The little voice acting i've encountered so far is good, but i could never tell good VA from bad VA so yeah.. :p
Overall the game shows that it has a lot of effort put into it, but still has a few technical problems. The few framerate drops and the few loadings that pop-up suddenly while exploring a level (don't worry they last like 2 seconds),
It's certainly one of the best Wii third party games and it shows that even a developer with a not-so-good track record can shine when given the opportunity. I'll submit some House of The Dead: Overkill impressions soon too, so i hope you like them.
