Credibility died with that poorly worded sentence. He is so professional he can't write an editorial with proper grammar.

Actually, that sentence is perfectly correct, grammar-wise. One could make a case that it's stylistically awkward -not that I would; I use things like this all the time- but there is nothing wrong with it from a grammatical standpoint.

 

lol, no I read it wrong. While it is still an awkward sentence I started reading from "I think I'm prepared" which starting from there makes the bolded part make zero sense.
