 I played golden axe and there is no way in hell that cost 25-30 mil. Not possible...unless they were burnig money for fun.

Games cost much because of:

CGI - not in golden axe

Licenced music and voice acting - not in golden axe

co-op and online game design - not present in golden axe

Amazing visual and high quality textures - not in golden axe

Golden Axe looked and played like a ps2 game.

I was searching the net and all I could find was a commentor saying how the rumored budget was $27 million.
