Actually, you could say that western Europe will be on size with the US.

That's

Germany = 82M

France = 65M

United Kingdom = 61M

Italy = 60M

Spain = 46M

Scandinavia = 17M

Total = 331M

 

Vs

 

USA = 306M

Canada = 33M

= 339M

(This is VGC americas * 0.97)

 

That's a completely fair comparison.

 

So far this gen:

Western Europe = 70.8M

Americas * 0.97 = 90.8M

 

That's really the fairest (most fair?) comparison between the two.

 

If you go by 08 sales only, this is what you get.

 

Western Europe = 31.3M

Americas * 0.97 = 36.2M

 

So it's relatively close.

 

... And finally. 2009 so far (and no, I didn't count an extra Others week)

 

Western Europe: 2.83M

Americas *0.97= 2.89M
