There's a reason Xplay didn't mention the negatives brought up by other sites. They obviously didn't spend a lot of time with the game before casting it aside. You can easily forgive something like digital controls because they aren't that bad for the game once you are experienced after a couple hours. After playing the game for many hours now, that review was garbage. If they want to give a bad score, fine, but it should be justified!!! I think a high majority of people that play the game will be able to tell that the video footage they used for the review is cut together in a way to make it look like a poorly designed game.
The video in the review there shows someone almost deliberately playing bad.
The game review is based on easy difficulty, if they say you will go back to the beginning that much(you are only allowed getting caught once per section on higher difficulties). Some of the footage looks like it cuts out earlier than it should to try and claim the stealth mechanics are bad. They claim the AI is idiotic but then they also complain about having to vanish away and restart so much?
Another thing is they say that the Tenchu series has continued to impress them with every release, when the general consensus has been that the series was declining.
What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?
