If you go back to the week ending Aug 19th and a bit earlier its a different story. The point is that right now we are on the Halo 3 on-ramp and the 360 is about to launch itself into some pretty nice sales for the rest of the year with Halo carrying it into the Holidays.
The fact that some are speculating if it could re-pass the Wii this year and with logical reasoning is a testament to the fact that the 360 is not in any danger of being passed by the PS3 within the accurately foreseeable future.
It is very possible it will eventually do so, but guesses at when are just that...guesses. My guess would be yes, it will eventually pass it, but when and ultimately by how much is such a wide open question right now that I don't even want to speculate.
