I think this gen is pretty good so far.
- All the little online games you can buy
- Good enough graphics for me to not need a PC
- Wireless controllers
- Great games (both now and for a long time to come)
- Unique games (LittleBigPlanet, Mirror's Edge, Valkyria Chronicles, EndWar, Flower etc.)
- Patching (There is a wealth of positive effects to being able to patch games, despite the few negative ones there also are)
- Both the PS3 and 360 have good multimedia capabilities
- Expansion of online play. Okay, this is hardly huge, but 8-man coop in Resistance 2 is great fun!
I am quite happy with what we've gotten this generation
