Funny enough, after browsing through the thread, it's people who don't use/like their ps3's at all who don't like killzone 2/think it's "generic" whereas people who love their ps3s love this game.

Perhaps this is a mind game. When one has convinced oneself that one doesn't/will not like something, one would never like it lol.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I happen to be quite fond of my PS3.  I use it for blu-ray movies, PS2 games, and PS3 games.  I now have 3 controllers for it so we can all play LBP together.  It is currently getting quite a bit of play time on several PS3 titles and Champions of Norrath (PS2).  Last night I moved it down to the lower part of my entertainment center so it is easier to get to when I have my projection screen down while my 360 and Wii remain trapped behind the screen. (I have to raise the screen to change a disc which is a PITA but I can't trust my 360 in a closed cabinet like I can my PS3).

Note:  I never convinced myself that I would/wouldn't like KZ2.  From the reviews, I WAS convinced that the graphics are god-like and the game redefines the FPS genre.  Again, assuming the demo is somewhat indicative of the final game (and that's a big assumption), The game is neither.  It is clearly still a quality title, but the uber-hype requires a new grading scale -- say an 11 or 12 out of 10.   "Best Ever" from the first review on the site with many similar comments to follow.... Perhaps in the top 5 this gen, but best EVER?  That's a bit strong, don't you think?
