I'm not a huge fan of the FPS genre, heck... I preferred the Banjo-Tooie shooting minigame to GoldenEye 007's multiplayer for Pete's sake.

Anywho, I've always been competent with dual-analogue controls, starting since the GCN (TimeSplitters ) and continuing into this generation with games like Halo 3 and Bioshock. It was fine, I did well enough, but I could never really find myself hooked because I was never fully satisfied with the controls.

Well, when Wii came out, I wondered how the Wiimote would translate for shooting controls. And when I finally played titles like Metroid Prime 3 and Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, it all clicked. I mean, you're pointing the WiiMote at the enemy and firing, just like a real firearm. It was really neat, and very immersive. I got to say that the only real reason I'm buying The Conduit (remember, not a big FPS fan here) is because of the fun controls. I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Not to say that I can never go back and enjoy FPS's with traditional gamepads, but I really find the WiiMote to be a great way to play the genre.
