@Pristine20: maybe there is another explanation, people who have been PC gamers for a lot of years maybe saw so many FPS, amongst which a minority really good, that they aren't excited anymore by any new one, unless they are really die-hard fans of the genre. While FPS is quite rarer in the PS-brand world, so if a PS1/2/3 gamer has been only a casual PC gamer in the past, or no PC gamer at all, he will welcome any new FPS good enough with the enthusiasm aroused by pleasant novelties. The same happens to Halo games.
