why do we make those threads so successful?

I remember downloading the Uncharted and Resistance 1 Demo and feeling meh, but what I learned as a gamer is:

. A great game is game you learn to play and gets better and better as you play it.

The first few stages in Resistance fall of man, i felt lost with the controls, but as a gamer, i learned them and as i learned i really got used to it. The funny thing, When i started to play Killzone demo, at first i tried to use the Resistance control.
