Racing games reached their graphical peak last generation. GT3/GT4 looked great - the cars looked awesome.

Apart from having heaps of cars on the track, cranking up the detail in backgrounds, or modeling uber-fine detail (and interiors) - there just isn't much more you can do in a car game.

There is no reason why a well-made racing game for the Wii couldn't look awesome.

 

You've either lost your mind or not watched the PGR4 or GT5 high definition trailers. I play GT4 to this day on my ps3, but frankly, it doesn't look anywhere near as good as these Wii screenies, let alone the aforementioned trailers.

 I think he meant in terms of art direction and realism. He just didn't state it that well.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
